Mia Rolland-Bezem

Born and raised in the UK, mezzo-soprano Mia Rolland began as a clarinetist at the Junior Royal Academy of Music before turning to voice while studying at Yale University, where she graduated cum laude. She has performed opera and theatre roles alike, including Dido in Dido and Aeneas and Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, and now studies with Ariane Girard at the Université de Montréal. Passionate about both Baroque and contemporary repertoire, she is committed to transforming standards of accessibility and representation in opera.
